Alka Rebentish, MD
Alka Rebentish, MD, is an infectious disease and travel medicine specialist and founder of Infectious Disease Associates & Travel Medicine Clinic in Las Vegas, Nevada. She established the clinic when she saw the growing population and need for infectious disease physicians that provide consulting services and telemedicine in the Las Vegas area.
After earning her medical degree from the University of Madras in India, Dr. Rebentish attended post-graduate school at the Royal College of Physicians in London, United Kingdom. She then moved to the United States and completed her residency at Georgetown University in Washington, DC, and her fellowship at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, also in Washington, DC.
Dr. Rebentish holds privileges at several hospitals in the Las Vegas area, including St. Rose San Martin Hospital, St. Rose Siena Hospital, Southern Hills Hospital, Spring Valley Hospital, and Health South Henderson.
Dr. Rebentish is a member of the American College of Physicians, Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America, Infectious Diseases Society of America, International Society of Travel Medicine, Jipmer Alumni Association of North America, and American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin. Locally and on the West Coast, she holds membership in Clark County Medical Society, Nevada Medical Association, and Infectious Disease Society of California. She is also a member of the clinical teaching faculty at Touro University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Monica Lynam, APRN
Nurse Practitioner, Monica Lynam, joined IDA in November 2022. Monica received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing in Addison, IL. in 2011. She was trained in a nursing residency program through St. Rose Dominican Hospitals and worked as a critical care RN for 7 years. Monica earned her Master's in Nursing Education in 2018 through Chamberlain University, Chicago, IL. and taught undergraduate nursing for several years. During 2019, Monica decided to return to critical care nursing and worked through the Pandemic while earning her Post-Master's Certificate for Family Nurse Practitioner through Chamberlain University in 2022. She has since joined our team. Monica has excellent communication skills and believes in providing preventative care and educating patients about various aspects of acute and chronic infections.
